Further Information

Short Biography
My academic background began with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry with a minor in Materials Science. During this time, I participated in several peer-instruction opportunities for various courses and laboratory sections – initiating my interest in science education. I experimented with biomedical research as a research assistant at Harvard Medical School, turned-down an attractive PhD offer in Biology at Boston College, explored my interests in cognitive science as a Laboratory Manager at MIT, and committed to pursuing the learning sciences here in the MCLS department of LMU. In Spring 2016, I completed my Master of Science degree in Learning Sciences for which my thesis topic explored the influence of differing scaffold content on science attitudes in a digital learning environment under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Frank Fischer and in collaboration with the Forderkreis NaMu Bayern. As a member of the REASON program, I am eager to continue exploring these topics through my doctoral studies and beyond!
