Short Biography

I am psychologist with two master degrees, one of them in psychology and one of them in learning sciences. During my bachelor and first master at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia I was mainly interested in educational psychology, psycholinguistics, and quantitative methods. In this period, I worked alongside Dr. Javier Corredor in the Cognition, Media and Learning research group. During my second master at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München – LMU, I focused my research interest on quantitative methods, conducting my master thesis and an internship on the evaluation of the performance of goodness-of-fit indices in the Rasch Model through simulations, under the supervision of Dr. Carmen Köhler at the Leibniz Institute for Research and Information in Education – DIPF. After a wonderful experience working on simulation studies, I continue my PhD studies at the LMU REASON program under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Moritz Heene on the evaluation of the performance of cross-validation in the context of structural equation modeling (SEM), and on the evaluation of effect size measures in SEM.
